across our construction sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Precast & Concrete Quality Control:
Oversee and manage quality control processes for precast structures, including
pre-pour and post-pour inspections
.
Concrete Mix Design:
Prepare and conduct trials of concrete mix designs and ensure adherence to the approved mix standards.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT):
Conduct NDT like
Rebound Hammer Test
and
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test
on concrete structures to assess quality.
Material Testing:
Perform in-house material tests (aggregate, cement, admixtures, etc.) and manage third-party tests for materials such as steel, cement, water, and chemicals.
Structure Repair:
Manage structural repairs such as
honeycomb, cold joints, cracks
as per the approved methodology. Perform injection grouting on concrete elements and ensure depth correction for concrete cracks.
Standards Compliance:
Ensure compliance with
Inspection and Testing Plans (ITP)
,
Monthly Quality Reports (MQR)
, and contract specifications like DMRC standards.
Sampling & Reporting:
Witness and sample materials sent for third-party testing (e.g., steel, couplers, HT strands) and report results.
Workability & Moisture Adjustment:
Make necessary corrections in concrete mix moisture levels and monitor workability.
Documentation & Reports:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of quality control processes, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
or related field.
4+ years of experience
in quality control for high-rise building construction, with a focus on
precast technology.
Strong knowledge of precast concrete production, structural repairs, and testing procedures (including NDT).
Familiarity with
ISO 9001
standards and
IS Codes
for material testing.
Experience working with third-party labs for material testing and certification.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Quality Management
(e.g., CQE, ASQ).
Previous experience in large-scale construction projects using precast technology.
Desired Candidate Profile:
B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (or Civil)
with a minimum of
5 years of experience
in construction infrastructure, independent laboratories, or ready-mix concrete plants.
