This role is ideal for an individual with approximately one year of experience looking to build upon their knowledge of quality management systems and inspection techniques. The candidate will perform routine inspections, document quality data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Inspections and Testing:
Conduct thorough quality inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Input data into the quality management system (QMS) and assist in preparing reports for management review.
Problem Identification & Resolution Support:
Identify deviations and defects, document the issues, and support the engineering team in root cause analysis (RCA) and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
Process Adherence:
Ensure that workflows and production processes adhere to established quality and safety regulations, such as ISO 9001 or industry-specific standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Equipment Management:
Assist with the maintenance and calibration of inspection and measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM machines).
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical field) or Quality Assurance.
Experience:
1 year of experience in a quality control, quality assurance, or similar role within a relevant industry.
Technical Knowledge:
o Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
o Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with quality control software is beneficial.
