Develop new formulations and improve existing formulas for cosmetic & personal care products.
Conduct pilot batches, stability studies, and compatibility testing.
Prepare SOP, BMR, technical documents, COA, and MSDS.
Select raw materials, evaluate suppliers, and optimize costing.
Ensure formulations meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Test viscosity, pH, active percentage, microbiology parameters, and product stability.
Coordinate with production during scale-up and solve process issues.
Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration records, and lab safety.
Support packaging compatibility testing and shelf-life studies.
Work with marketing & R&D team for new launches and innovations.
Study market trends and competitor product performance.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2-7 years experience in cosmetics / pharma / personal care.
Strong understanding of emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, fragrances, and actives.
Practical knowledge in creams, lotions, shampoos, gel, serum & oil formulation.
Ability to conduct lab trials and handle lab instruments.
Good documentation and analytical skills.
Creative, problem-solving, and innovation mindset.
