Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytical chemistry and laboratory practices, with experience in quality control and compliance with FDA regulations. This role involves conducting experiments, analyzing data, and ensuring the accuracy of results while adhering to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP). The Chemist will work with various analytical techniques, including spectroscopy, chromatography, and microscopy, to support product development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities



Conduct experiments using wet chemistry techniques to analyze chemical compounds and materials. Perform quality control tests to ensure products meet established standards. Calibrate laboratory instruments, including spectrophotometers and chromatographs, to maintain accuracy in measurements. Utilize laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and analysis. Apply analytical chemistry principles to interpret results from gas chromatography (GC) and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues related to product formulation and testing. Maintain compliance with FDA regulations and CGMP guidelines throughout all laboratory processes. Document all findings accurately in accordance with GLP standards. Assist in the training of junior staff members on laboratory techniques and safety protocols.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Proven laboratory experience with a focus on analytical methods such as spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, and wet chemistry. Familiarity with GLP, CGMP, FDA regulations, and quality control processes is essential. Strong knowledge of calibration procedures for laboratory equipment. Proficiency in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data tracking and reporting. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate results. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills for effective reporting of findings and collaboration with colleagues.
