The role ensures that all construction activities meet contractual specifications, international standards, and client expectations, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
Develop and implement the project's QA/QC plan, procedures, and inspection protocols.
Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO, ASTM, BS, etc.) and client specifications.
Quality Control
Supervise site inspections, material testing, and workmanship evaluations.
Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Prepare quality-related reports for senior management and client representatives.
Coordination
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and HSE teams to align quality objectives with project milestones.
Liaise with client representatives and consultants on quality matters.
Training & Compliance
Conduct training sessions for site staff and subcontractors on QA/QC procedures.
Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
Problem-Solving
Investigate quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.
Support root cause analysis and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum
8-10 years of QA/QC experience
in large-scale construction projects, preferably hospitality or resort developments.
Strong knowledge of
international quality standards
and construction codes.
Hands-on experience with material testing, inspection procedures, and quality audits.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in remote island environments and multicultural teams.
Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC management software
