For QA/QC Inspector
Company: L&T Construction
Duration: 3-4 months
Experience: 5-7 years preferably
Hours: 12 hours Shift
Qualification: B.E/B.TECH/Diploma in Mechanical
Key Requirements:
Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.
Ensuring all inspections and tests are carried out as indicated on the appropriate Inspection &Test Plan (ITP) for Piping and Fitting Materials.
Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural & Piping works.
Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.
Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.
Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Welding works.
Periodical Site Internal Audits.
Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Welding & Piping works.
Welding inspection (surveillance checks before, during and after welding).
Inspection of Piping-system wise and verification according to Isometric Drawing.
Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.
Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.
Inspection of Structure Welding and Piping Supports.
Inspection of above ground piping, underground piping & Structure fabrication.
Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.
NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs.
Hydrotest witness of Tank & Piping system.
Requirements and Qualification
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineer.
5-7 Years of experience respectively as Mechanical Engineer in Piping.
Must have knowledge of ASNT Level-2 and NDT Level-2.
Strong Understanding of Process Piping and Structure.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
