Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Head of Quality Analysis and Quality Control

to lead the QA/QC function in our pipe fittings manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet required quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations, while improving quality processes and reducing non-conformance across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

Lead the QA/QC team and oversee day-to-day quality operations across all manufacturing stages (casting, machining, finishing, assembly, etc.). Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, inspection plans, and testing protocols in accordance with industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, ISO, API, etc. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and quality consciousness across the organization.

Inspection & Testing

Supervise inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished pipe fittings (elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, etc.). Ensure dimensional, mechanical, chemical, and visual inspections are performed as per technical drawings and specifications. Ensure proper functioning and calibration of all testing equipment including NDT tools, gauges, spectrometers, hardness testers, etc.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain and review all QA/QC documentation including test reports, inspection reports, calibration certificates, and compliance certificates (e.g., MTCs). Ensure adherence to quality standards such as ISO 9001 and relevant statutory & regulatory norms. Interface with third-party inspectors, clients, and certification bodies during audits or inspection visits.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action

Investigate internal rejections, customer complaints, and non-conformities. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

Team Management

Train and mentor QA/QC personnel in inspection techniques, quality standards, and safety protocols. Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and ensure continuous skill development of the quality team.

Key Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Metallurgical Engineering or related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., ASQ, ISO Lead Auditor) is a plus.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a quality management role within the pipe fittings or related metal fabrication/manufacturing industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of pipe fittings standards (ASME B16.9, B16.5, MSS-SP, etc.) Familiarity with various QA/QC tools, NDT techniques (RT, UT, PT, MT), and mechanical testing procedures. Proficient in reading engineering drawings, welding procedures, and material specifications. Experience with ERP systems and digital quality management systems is preferred.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Detail-oriented with a proactive and hands-on approach to quality control.
