Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Implement and monitor the project QA/QC system for all piping activities in compliance with project specifications and international codes (ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, API 1104, etc.). Establish, Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT). Verify material traceability, heat numbers, and mill test certificates (MTCs) for pipes, fittings, and flanges. Ensure calibration and validity of measuring instruments and welding equipment. Monitor welding operations to ensure parameters comply with WPS. Coordinate and interpret results of NDT activities and review test reports. Witness final visual inspections as per ITP and hold points. Prepare weld summary, repair, and rejection reports, initiate corrective and preventive actions. Maintain daily inspection reports, weld logs, and QC dossiers as per client and code requirements. Prepare inspection requests (RFI/ITR) and liaise with client inspectors for joint inspections. Review line check and hydrotest packages before mechanical completion. Ensure documentation aligns with ISO 9001:2015 and project quality plan. Interface with construction, planning, and HSE teams to ensure safe and quality-compliant execution. Conduct internal audits and participate in client audits for continuous quality improvement. Support non-conformance (NCR) investigations and root-cause analyses.

Required Skills & Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, and API 1104. Familiar with NDT methods and interpretation of results. Experience in P&ID, isometric, and GA drawing interpretation. Strong understanding of welding metallurgy and fabrication practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and documentation control. Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
