Job Title: Engineer QA & QC

Location: Abbigere, Bangalore Experience: 2-3 Years (preferred in conveyor machinery / fabrication industry) Qualification: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering

Salary: 30K -35K per month

Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer to ensure all materials, components, processes, and finished products meet our stringent quality standards. The role involves hands-on inspections, documentation, coordination for certifications, and support in audits and continual improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Incoming Material Inspection

oPerform visual checks for damages on all incoming raw materials, bought-outs, and outsourced components.

oConduct dimensional inspection (thickness, OD, ID, length, width) based on drawings or catalogues.

oVerify chemical composition with NABL test certificates where required.

oCheck part numbers and specifications against purchase orders.

In-Process Inspection

oInspect in-process activities like shearing, bending, punching, machining, welding, assembling, etc.

oUse standard inspection checklists to conduct visual and dimensional checks at every stage.

Assembly Inspection

oCarry out visual and dimensional checks for sub-assemblies, weldments, and final assembly.

oEnsure adherence to quality standards using assembly inspection checklists.

Final Inspection

oFinal inspection of conveyors, SS304 hygienic fabrications, and packaging machines.

oValidate dimensions, alignment, cleanliness, and finishing.

oConduct verification & validation before dispatch.

Calibration Control

oMonitor and ensure periodic calibration of measuring instruments.

oMaintain calibration records and arrange for third-party calibration certificates.

Equipment Test Certification

oAssist in periodic testing and renewal of certifications for equipment like hydraulic lifts, pallet trucks, air receivers, etc.

oCoordinate with third-party inspectors and maintain load test certificates.

ISO Documentation & Audits

oMaintain and update ISO-related documents including:

Internal rejection reports

Corrective action reports (CAR)

Non-conformance (NC) reports

Root cause analysis (RCA)

Operational procedures (e.g. welding, maintenance)

Calibration and test records

oSupport in internal and external audits.

oMonthly reporting to HR on employee performance, rework, and rejections.

oActively contribute to ISO audits and certification processes.

Required Skills & Competencies:

oStrong knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques.

oExperience with gauges, calipers, micrometers, and surface plates.

oGood understanding of fabrication, machining, and welding processes.

oFamiliarity with ISO 9001 quality systems.

oAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and BOMs.

oProficient in MS Office and documentation.

oStrong communication and analytical skills.

oAttention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
