- QA/QC Engineer (Construction Industry)

Position: QA/QC Engineer / QA/QC Manager

Location: Hosur

Department: Quality Assurance & Control

Reports To: QA/QC Manager / Project Manager / Head - Quality

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all construction activities, processes, and materials meet quality standards and project specifications. The role involves implementing quality management systems, conducting inspections, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA)

Develop and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and quality procedures.

Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define QA requirements.

Ensure that quality standards are communicated and followed across all site teams.

Conduct quality induction and awareness training for engineers and site staff.

Quality Control (QC)

Carry out daily inspections for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.

Perform material inspections and testing (cement, steel, concrete, aggregates, etc.) as per IS/ASTM/BS codes.

Verify calibration of testing equipment and maintain records.

Issue and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain inspection and test records for audits and project handover.

Coordination & Reporting

Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party inspection agencies for approvals.

Prepare and submit quality reports, checklists, and dashboards.

Support ISO audits and internal quality audits.

Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for quality compliance.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of construction materials, QA/QC procedures, IS codes, ASTM, BS standards.

Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS and quality management practices.

Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills.

Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple project sites.

Qualifications & Experience

Education: B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferred).

Experience: 3-8years in QA/QC within the construction / EPC / real estate / infrastructure industry.

Certification in ISO / Quality Management / Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
