About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly motivated

Senior QA Engineer

to join our engineering team in Chennai. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust automation frameworks, improving product quality, and collaborating closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

automation test frameworks using Python and Pytest

Perform

API testing

and validate backend services for performance, reliability, and security Create comprehensive

test plans, test cases, and test scenarios

based on functional and technical requirements Execute

regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing

across releases Identify, log, track, and verify defects using

Jira

or similar bug-tracking tools Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC Integrate automated test suites into

CI/CD pipelines

for continuous testing Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in

Software Quality Assurance

Strong hands-on experience with

Python and Pytest

Solid understanding of

automation testing concepts and test framework design

Experience in

API testing

(REST services, request/response validation, status codes, etc.) Proficiency in

test case design techniques

and defect lifecycle management Hands-on experience with

Jira

and Agile methodologies Working knowledge of

CI/CD tools

(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) Experience with

PyCharm

or similar Python IDEs
Good to Have

Exposure to

Selenium or UI automation tools

Basic understanding of databases and SQL Experience testing cloud-based or microservices architectures
