Delivers specific delegated tasks assigned by a supervisor in the Q&A job family. Assists in the preparation and conduct of Quality Assurance (QA) testing of new or modified applications/systems across multiple computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server). Provides help desk support to client and IT technical staff in resolving QA process or procedure questions and required documentation. Assists in the implementation of QA software and systems and the development of effective testing plans through consultation with clients and IT technical staff. Participates in the development of special testing requirements and procedures and in the review of new or modified QA software. May participate in the analysis and development of new or revised QA procedures and processes. May implement modifications to QA software. Completes day-to-day Quality Assurance & Testing tasks without immediate supervision, but has ready access to advice from more experienced team members. Tasks involve a degree of forward planning and anticipation of needs/issues. Resolves non-routine issues escalated from more junior team members.
