Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented

QA Engineer

with 2-3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate must be

from Kolkata

and willing to attend an

in-person interview at our Jadavpur office

. Candidates with strong testing fundamentals and potential to lead a QA team in the future are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute

test plans

,

test cases

, and

test scripts

Perform

Manual Testing

(functional, UI, regression, smoke, usability, UAT, system testing, etc.) Perform

Automated Testing

using relevant tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman automation, JMeter, etc.) Track, document, and report defects with clear steps to reproduce Ensure all delivered software meets the highest standards of quality Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth releases Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and QA strategy meetings Maintain proper documentation for test results, QA process improvements, and release notes Contribute to automation frameworks and suggest enhancements Ensure testing is aligned with business requirements and acceptance criteria Show leadership potential and assist in mentoring junior testers when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must be a Kolkata-based candidate

2-3 years of experience

in software QA Strong understanding of

QA processes, SDLC, and STLC

Experience in writing

test plans, test scenarios, and test cases

Hands-on experience with

Manual Testing

and exposure to

Automation Testing

Good experience with

bug tracking tools

(e.g., Jira, Trello, Bugzilla) Knowledge of

API Testing

(Postman, Swagger, etc.) Experience in

software product testing

preferred Understanding of databases and ability to perform basic

SQL queries

Familiarity with version control systems like

Git

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and within a team Eagerness to learn and potential to become a

future team lead

Nice to Have (Optional but Valuable)

Knowledge of automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Jest, Playwright, etc.) Experience with performance/load testing (JMeter, Locust) Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) ISTQB Certification or similar testing certifications
