What you'll do at Beagle Security:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications. This includes defining testing methodologies, identifying test data, and setting up test environments.
Perform various types of testing, including functional testing, usability testing, performance testing, regression testing etc.
dentify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems. Clearly describe the issue, steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual behavior.
Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide feedback to the development team regarding software quality and potential risks.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements, clarify issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
Contribute to the overall software development process by advocating for quality and promoting best practices for testing.
Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies. Continuously improve testing skills and knowledge.
Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test reports, and bug reports.
Evaluate the user-friendliness and intuitiveness of the software and provide feedback for improvement.
Skills you'll bring to the table:
5 to 8 years experience ( Mandatory)
Understanding of various software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and testing types (e.g., functional, usability, performance, security).
Ability to design and execute effective test cases, covering positive and negative scenarios, boundary conditions, and edge cases.
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and relevant information.
Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, HP ALM, Bugzilla). Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) is a plus (and often required for more senior roles).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and analyze software defects.
Familiarity with the domain or industry the software application serves is a plus.
Basic programming knowledge can be helpful for automation testing or understanding technical documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
