Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in executing manual and automated test cases for applications built on

PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter

. Review and understand backend logic, APIs, and workflows developed in PHP to ensure accurate and thorough testing. Identify, document, and report bugs using standard bug-tracking tools. Participate in requirement analysis to understand user stories and technical specifications, especially for PHP-based modules. Perform functional, regression, API, and usability testing across web applications. Collaborate closely with PHP developers to debug issues and validate fixes. Support the QA team in preparing and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test reports. Learn best practices in testing, API validation, and quality assurance processes relevant to PHP frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Basic understanding of software testing concepts, SDLC, and web application functionality.

Foundational knowledge of PHP and familiarity with Laravel or CodeIgniter is highly preferred.

Ability to understand MVC structure and API responses to support backend and integration testing. Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have):

Exposure to testing APIs (Postman) or writing simple automated scripts. Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries. Interest in testing web applications built using PHP frameworks. Knowledge of Git or version control basics.
