As a QA Team Leader at SHL, you will lead a team of QA Analysts to support the delivery of client projects globally for Deployment function. You will be primarily responsible for testing system builds for our client‘s talent acquisition processes. You will ensure that the QA team carry out their QA tasks (e.g. executing test scripts/plans, identifying defects, running regression tests, verifying fixes etc.) to a consistently high level whilst following the Deployment QA processes and procedures throughout the product customisation lifecycle, as well as carrying out testing themselves.

As a QA Team Leader, you will:

  • Adhere to and ensure that the QA strategy and testing processes are applied throughout the team.
  • Execute test cases, identify defects, and work closely with the internal professional services teams to deliver high quality solutions
  • Provide leadership and consultation with regards to QA practices, processes and procedures that should be followed as outlined by the QA Manager.
  • Hold day to day responsibility for personnel management of the team. This includes support on their daily tasks, coaching, mentoring, development, and feedback (KPI reviews, performance), working collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Manager to relay information and directions accurately.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing levels for the team.
  • Provide insight into how the services delivered by your team can be enhanced in order to improve quality of service.


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems.
  • 2+ years in a role leading teams.
  • Experience in QA and developing test scripts
  • Experience with bug tracking software such as JIRA or QC
  • Experience working in a process driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and database technologies
  • Meticulous documentation skill set
  • Experience working in a professional services environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to plan and organise a team’s work to meet client delivery pressures
  • Strong and demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills
  • Prior experience setting up KPIs and reporting
  • Ability to coordinate team work independently and proactively to ensure delivery can continue across time zones
  • Ability to manage projects and information from various sources
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite




Desirable:
  • QA qualification – ISTQB
  • SQL skills.
  • Experience of writing test cases and test plans.
