Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the QA team.
Train, monitor, and evaluate QA inspectors on quality control methods and standards.
Schedule and assign quality inspection tasks based on production needs.
2. Quality Assurance Oversight:
Supervise quality checks at all stages: raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
Ensure adherence to product specifications, dimensional accuracy, color, glaze quality, flatness, water absorption, and surface finish.
Investigate and document quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
3. Process Control & Improvement:
Monitor production processes (pressing, glazing, firing, cutting, polishing) for potential quality deviations.
Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to address recurring quality problems.
Recommend process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain and review quality records, inspection reports, and test results.
Prepare shift-wise and weekly quality performance reports.
Support audits by ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, CE, or other relevant quality standards.
5. Standards Compliance:
Ensure finished tiles comply with national and international standards (e.g., ISO, EN, ASTM).
Monitor calibration of inspection equipment and testing machines (e.g., flexural strength testers, abrasion testers, etc.).
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Ceramics, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 1-3 years of quality control/assurance experience in a ceramic or tiles manufacturing plant.
Working knowledge of tile production processes, raw materials, and glaze application.
Skills Required:
Strong understanding of ceramic tile quality standards and testing procedures.
Good leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in data analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and reporting.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP or QMS software experience preferred
