Position Details:



Job Role: QA QC Manager (Shutdown)



Experience Required : 12+ Years Experience in Oil & Gas Industry with minimum 4 shutdowns in GCC countries.



Location : Oman



Education: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Key Responsibilities:



1. Quality Management System (QMS):



Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific QMS in compliance with ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2, or equivalent.



Ensure all QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and checklists are current, relevant, and project-specific.



Promote a quality culture across all disciplines and stakeholders.



2. Project Quality Planning:



Prepare Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and other QA/QC documentation.



Ensure quality requirements are properly communicated to all subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams.



Participate in project kick-off and pre-inspection meetings to align quality expectations.



3. Inspection & Testing:



Supervise and coordinate activities of QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and Technicians.



Monitor welding, NDT, coating, mechanical, civil, and E&I inspection activities.



Ensure that inspection records are maintained and meet traceability requirements.



4. Audits and Non-Conformance Management:



Plan and conduct internal and external audits (supplier audits, site audits).



Identify non-conformities and drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).



Track NCRs and ensure timely closeout with corrective actions implemented.



5. Vendor and Subcontractor Quality Control:



Evaluate and approve vendor and subcontractor QA/QC plans and procedures.



Conduct surveillance visits and factory acceptance testing (FAT).



Verify material certification, traceability, and conformity with specifications.



6. Documentation and Reporting:



Maintain quality records including WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, material test certificates (MTCs), calibration records, etc.



Prepare and submit quality reports to management and clients (weekly/monthly/close-out reports).



Support document control in maintaining up-to-date QA/QC documentation.



7. Client & Regulatory Liaison:



Serve as primary point of contact with client QA/QC representatives.



Support regulatory inspections and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA, ADNOC, ARAMCO, etc.).



Facilitate client inspections and third-party witness points.



8. Team Leadership & Training:



Mentor QA/QC team members and ensure proper training and qualification.



Foster team collaboration and continuous improvement.



Coordinate with construction, HSE, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.



Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?350,000.00 - ?450,000.00 per month
