Manual QA TesterPosition Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our client websites, with a focus on WordPress-based websites. You'll be responsible for comprehensive testing across frontend user interfaces and backend functionality to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Perform thorough manual testing of websites including functional, usability, and compatibility testing Test WordPress sites including themes, plugins, custom functionality, and content management workflows

Execute pixel-perfect design testing

to ensure websites match approved designs precisely across all elements

Conduct comprehensive cross-browser testing

across Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and mobile browsers

Perform responsive testing

across multiple devices, screen resolutions, and orientations Execute backend testing including database interactions, API endpoints, and server-side functionality Create and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using bug tracking systems Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes Perform regression testing to ensure new changes don't break existing functionality
Required Qualifications

Communication Skills

: Excellent written and verbal communication for clear bug reporting and team collaboration

Web Technologies

: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and PHP fundamentals

WordPress Experience

: Hands-on experience testing WordPress websites, themes, and plugin functionality

Design Testing

: Experience with pixel-perfect testing, understanding of spacing, typography, colors, and layout consistency

Cross-Browser Testing

: Proven experience testing across different browsers and identifying browser-specific issues

Responsive Testing

: Experience testing websites across various devices, screen sizes, and orientations

Technical Aptitude

: Basic programming concepts and ability to understand code structure and logic flow

Web Design Awareness

: Understanding of UI/UX principles and how users interact with websites

Problem-Solving

: Strong analytical skills to identify edge cases and potential user scenarios
Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in manual QA testing role Familiarity with testing tools and bug tracking systems (Jira, TestRail, etc.) Knowledge of web development best practices and common security vulnerabilities Experience with API testing tools (Postman, etc.) Understanding of database basics and SQL queries

AI-Assisted Testing

: Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools for test case generation, testing scenarios, or automation support
Bonus Skills

AI Integration

: Familiarity with leveraging ChatGPT for creating test cases, generating test data, or enhancing testing workflows Experience with browser developer tools for debugging and testing Knowledge of accessibility testing (WCAG guidelines) Understanding of performance testing basics
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?150,000.00 - ?300,000.00 per year
