The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing quality control systems to ensure that products or services meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team of QA professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross- functional teams to uphold the highest levels of quality across all operations.
Key Responsibility Area:
Strategy & Leadership:
Define quality objectives and metrics aligned with company goals and monitor performance against these targets. Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals and industry best practices. Lead, mentor, and develop the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. Establish clear KPIs and metrics for quality performance and regularly report on progress to senior management.
System Management:
Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS). Oversee all aspects of incoming material
inspection and final product testing. Manage and conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
Identify and analyse quality issues, implement root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in consultation with cross functional team.
Continuous Improvement:
Champion continuous improvement initiatives through methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant frameworks. Collaborate with R&D, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality into every stage of the product lifecycle. Perform PFMEA & update the same time to time. Create control plan for relevant process steps and make sure the plans are adhered to.
Customer Complaint:
Be the factory coordinator for all customer complaints. Deep dive into all customer
complaints and ensure a root cause analysis is done against the same. Ensure timely
response to retain customer satisfaction.
Supplier Quality Assurance:
Establish and manage supplier quality programs, including supplier audits and performance
monitoring. Collaborate with procurement to ensure quality standards are met by external
suppliers.
Qualifications:
9-10 years of experience in Quality Management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or
managerial role, preferably within the Furniture manufacturing or FMCG sector. Preferably
BE/ BTech in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Production or Industrial engineering.
Skills:
Thorough understanding of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies
(FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills, with the
ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry-specific standards for
