Role Overview

The QA Manager will lead the Quality Assurance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role emphasizes

test automation strategy and implementation

, while managing manual testing efforts where necessary. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of QA methodologies, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

+ Define and implement QA strategy, standards, and best practices across projects.
+ Manage and mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to align QA processes with business goals.

Automation

+ Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, and mobile applications.
+ Drive automation coverage for regression, smoke, and performance testing.
+ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.

Quality Assurance

+ Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, and system testing.
+ Ensure defect tracking and root cause analysis are performed effectively.
+ Establish metrics and KPIs to measure quality and team performance.

Tools & Technologies

+ Hands-on experience with tools like

Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, JMeter

, and API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
+ Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven expertise in

test automation frameworks

and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript). Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with

Shift-Left Testing

and early QA involvement in SDLC. Knowledge of

performance testing

and

security testing

practices. * Familiarity with AI-based testing tools and automation accelerators.
