Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the testing activities within the project lifecycle. This role involves leading a team of QA engineers, ensuring quality standards are met, and collaborating closely with development, business, and product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Planning & Strategy:
Develop detailed test plans and test strategies.
Define scope, objectives, resources, and schedules for testing activities.
Team Management:
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of QA engineers.
Allocate tasks and manage resource availability effectively.
Test Execution & Management:
Oversee manual and automated test execution.
Ensure proper documentation of test results and defect reports.
Track and report test progress and quality metrics.
Process Management:
Implement best practices and QA processes.
Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and timelines.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development teams, product owners, and business analysts.
Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Risk Management:
Identify risks in testing and propose mitigation strategies.
Handle defect triage and prioritize resolution efforts.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, RestAssured).
Strong knowledge of API testing and SQL queries.
Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Azure).
Leadership Skills:
Experience managing QA teams (offshore/onshore).
Strong communication, mentoring, and team-building skills.
Methodologies:
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban).
