Job Summary:

As a MERN Stack Tester, you will test and validate the performance, functionality, and usability of applications built on the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) stack. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for MERN stack applications (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js). Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure the quality and functionality of web applications. Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in the application using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla. Work closely with developers to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar. Continuously improve test automation framework and practices. Conduct performance, load, and stress testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner. Identify performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports. Provide clear and concise feedback on test results, defects, and overall product quality.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role, specifically testing MERN stack applications. Experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, LoadRunner, etc. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services testing. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Basic knowledge of database queries and data validation.
