Job Description

MRI Software looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible to assess software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and manual test scripts. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with. We perceive the QA Engineer as the knowledge bank of the business domain associated with the product(s) you will be working on and shall be the main go-to person for all team members including the developers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Primary:

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in testing software in a structured QA environment.
• Solid understanding of Agile practices.
• Specific experience testing backend systems and business logic
• Able to write and execute medium to high level complexity test cases and scenarios for
• API, UI and integrated testing.
• Able to write and execute medium to high level complexity queries.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and ability to write low and medium
• level complexity automated tests.
• Excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to work successfully
• with cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to analyze software applications to verify that various products conform to
• stated requirements.
• Collaborates with Product teams to design performance tests by finding features, functions,
• and services that need to be performance tested and the appropriate user/transaction/data load.

Automation:

• Research solutions and/or tools that provide value to MRI. Evaluates and enhances standards, technologies, and approaches in conjunction with senior team members.
• Experience with Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, Java is a must
• Assists in the development of ongoing training for the QA team.
• Knowledge of formulating SQL queries is essential, Oracle knowledge preferred.
• Reviews code committed by junior team members, ensures all are adhering to correct standards.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer technology, MIS, or Computer Science preferred
• Associates degree (technical college) or higher in a computer-related field required
