The Role: SQA Engineer

The Team: The Global Quality Assurance team comprises of Highly skilled and experienced Testing professionals located in Europe, North America and India. The team supports the high quality of software by independently verifying that software functionality conforms to business requirements using a combination of manual and technical testing techniques. The team is also responsible for verifying technical aspects of the implementation including the performance and scalability of the solution

The Impact: You will work with our global team of BRST and will primarily focus on the quality of our highly available applications by means of manual testing and building solutions to test applications.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed.
• Apply, design & develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
• Execute test scripts, analyze failures, report defects & generate test execution reports.
• Test Automation for various test scenarios and acceptance tests.
• Setup and mange CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborating with Product Owners and Software Developers to develop solutions.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience level 4-7 years
• Self-managed individual who can actively build the automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong Experience in Test Automation Tool/Frameworks for example: Protractor, Type script, Java script, Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver, SoapUI, JMeter, TestNG
• Proficient in Protractor framework/ Type Script / Java / API Testing (Please see Tech Section below for details)
• Good in implementing a Service Level Automation Framework
• Experience in designing high efficiency tests for scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications
• Strong Database knowledge:
• Must have Good communication skills
• Must have strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Good to have exposure in implementing Automation solutions to Agile Scrum and other SW development lifecycle.
• Should be growth oriented, confident and self-starter
• This position will involve hands-on test build /execution role where the creative inspiration can fuel BIG Innovation.

Duties & accountabilities

Operational Support

• Work with the Dev Manager to meet automation test requirements to the highest standards
• Design Automation test strategies, test frameworks based on user requirements
• Help / Assist AVPs / other products with Technical Challenges and define the next level for the present technical solutions
• Candidate should be Passionate about building great automation solutions

Technical

• Strong Knowledge of Protractor framework/ Type script/ Angular 8+ and frameworks like Jasmine, TestNG and Selenium
• Should be a technology geek, customer oriented and results driven
• Experience with advanced Type script language.
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL, stored procedures and other data manipulation technologies.
• Understanding XML files and interpreting results provided in the format.

• Knowledge and experience of financial markets
• Familiarity with the following operating systems would be advantageous: UNIX, Linux
• Demonstrated ability to work in a globally distributed software development team.

Business competencies, Education and experience

• A technical graduate / Post Graduate
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
• Solid technical background in implementing object oriented systems
• Experience with advanced low level Java programming APIs, such as concurrency, NIO and byte buffers.

• Should be able to produce cost benefit analysis around automation solutions being proposed
