Job Description

• Role Scope:
  • Create automation scripts for the QA Regression and the Production Smoke Suites
  • Maintain the test suites, keeping the scripts up to date with the constantly changing code and data
  • Work to optimize the team’s automation scripts by performing code reviews and making sure we’re meeting best automation practices
  • Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., data-driven testing
  • Understand and be able to make changes to the automation framework
  • Support the teams looking into Production Issues
  • Run the daily jobs in QA and Prod and monitor any failures
  • Log and continue to follow up on defects until resolution
  • Work with Product Teams to help ensure environment stability
  • Constantly look for how the team's processes can be improved
• Key Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience acceptable
  • 5+ years of IT Software QA, Release Management or Development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Java, Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber
  • Expertise in software quality best practices and methodologies, test strategy/planning, different types of testing – Functional/GUI, Integration/API, Structural/Performance and Automation
  • Experience with implementation and/or execution of testing automation tools/processes
  • Experience with development and/or knowledge of modular, re-usable and scalable test automation frameworks for use across multiple domains.
  • Good exposure to various software development methodologies, especially Iterative and Agile/SCRUM development practices
  • Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations
  • Proven ability to pick up and apply new technologies quickly
  • Experience working effectively with multiple groups of differing skill-sets
  • Ability to work well with developers and senior leadership alike.
  • Experience in TestNG, TDD ,BDD, Data Driven, Keyword Driven, Page Object Model.
  • Experience in Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and Gherkins.
  • Experience in Database like Oracle, SQL
  • Experience in developing and enhancing the automation scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber.
  • Experience in Reviewing and optimizing the automation code to improve its performance
  • Experience in test framework like TestNG/JUnit4/JUnit5
