Job Title QA Engineer - Chennai Job Posting Title : Quality Assurance Engineer Experience - 4-8 Years Mandatory Skills - Automation Testing (Selenium, Protractor, Webdriver IO) What does a successful QA Engineer do at Fiserv ?

• As a QA Engineer, you will support manual and automated testing with a good understanding of Software Test Lifecycle including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test log, Test results and Test Traceability Matrix.
• Execute integration, system, feature interaction, stress, performance testing for Catalyst application.
• Analyse and understand product requirements to enable software test case creation by participating in requirement gathering & analysis.
• Create and evaluate test cases for accuracy and applicability for products under test.
• Provide the Product Managers and all stakeholders with clear and real-time updates regarding test status, bug status, and overall quality about the application by monitoring failures, reporting bugs, analysing & triaging automated tests running in the Continuous Integration system.
• Work side-by-side with the development team on testing in parallel and automating tests in the sprints.
• Develop automated tests with the appropriate technologies.
• Ability to effectively engage as a team player

What you will do:

• This position will require close collaboration with the Product owners, Developers and project managers. The candidate will get an opportunity to learn new technologies, work with a motivated team and grow technically with leading technology.
• Automate test cases using appropriate tools and technologies.
• Test system performance when applicable.
• Execute manual & automated tests, document results and update defect tracking systems
• Analyse Test Requirements specifications and give inputs to Test plan and Strategy
• Develop and create scenarios and test case creations
• Work with Functional team/Development team to update defects with required information, if requested and move to closure by validating once fixed
• Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing.
• Help drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement with an emphasis on test automation, technical curiosity, and data-driven decision making
• Support Production deployment and Bug triage
• Should be flexible enough to work with progressively elaborating requirements and frequent changes.
• Good knowledge in software QA test methodologies.
• Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Experience testing an API/ web application

What you will need to have:

• Strong work experience Manual & Automation Testing, API Testing (knowledge of Web services testing application), knowledge of test management tool
• Proficient in Black box, functional, and user flow testing technique. Have an eagle-eye for test coverage gaps, false positives or negatives. Constantly raise concerns about issues you notice, in or out of your area of ownership.
• Automation scripting knowledge (Selenium, Java, Protractor, Webdriver I/O, etc..)
• Understand the requirement and prepare the automated solution using existing framework and make changes to adapt to new requirements.
• Experience working in a scrum team as an individual contributor and managing the execution of small testing projects
• Experience with software development tools (IDE, debugger, git, JIRA, etc).
• Knowledge of design patterns, experience with creating test frameworks.

• Interacting with multiple teams in different locations (India, USA).
• Work independently with minimum guidance to meet the milestone.

What would be great to have:

• Experience in SoapUI/Postman, TOSCA, Swagger, understanding of API requests and SOAP protocols
• Understanding on Entry and exit criteria and should be able to sign off for module on which they are working upon
• Experience developing automated test suites for Web app/API testing
• Familiarity with industry standard CI and experience with testing tools such as Jenkins or others
• Experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems such as Jira, or other issue tracking systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience with Continuous Integration process and tools (GitHub, Jira, Jenkins).
• Experience in writing Database queries.
