TransUnion\'s Job Applicant Privacy Notice What We\'ll Bring: The Software Engineer in Test is responsible for the final quality of the product. This resource should have a good understanding of the pertinent technology stack and the product functionality, should be able to support engineers in the team with technology and should be able to setup a test framework and test cases to evaluate the end-to-end functionality of the product. The role is based out of India at the Neustar\'s office in Bangalore. What You\'ll Bring: Responsibilities/Key Tasks
\xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure proper QA policies and testing coverage is applied to assigned projects and tasks
\xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in the Agile software delivery process by writing, reviewing functional and design specifications, develop and review test cases in Perl, KSH, JAVA, JUnit, TestNG, SQL and Selenium
\xe2\x80\xa2 Write user stories and tasks for sprints, coordinate efforts and communication with the developers and other team members to ensure resolution of defects, and manage/triage defects in the bug tracking system
\xe2\x80\xa2 Consult with various cross department team members to review and troubleshoot production issues
\xe2\x80\xa2 Drive automation initiatives including white box scripting and functional automation projects
\xe2\x80\xa2 Execute and assist in performance testing
\xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure that products meet or exceed the quality standards by applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures
\xe2\x80\xa2 Work with rest of the Quality Assurance and Software Development teams to deploy successful quality processes throughout the software development lifecycle
\xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare detailed test reports Qualifications/Education Requirement
\xe2\x80\xa2 Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
\xe2\x80\xa2 3-5 years recent experience in Software Development and/or Software Test Automation
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience working in an Agile environment/familiarity with Agile methodology and tools, ability to seamlessly integrate automation solutions with continuous integration (using Jenkins) build.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experienced with current database technologies \xe2\x80\x93 RDBMS and NoSQL DBs \xe2\x80\x93 like Oracle, Mongo, Cassandra
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience testing software at API and webservice level
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience testing different web service methodologies REST, SOAP over XML, JSON payloads
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with Shell/Perl scripting in Linux/Unix Environment.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Must have backend testing experience with Web servers, routers and load balancing
\xe2\x80\xa2 Must be proficient in a Linux/Unix environments
\xe2\x80\xa2 Must be proficient in Perl, KSH
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with development with Java, JUnit, TestNG and Selenium.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, SoapUI, Load Runner and QTP etc.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience testing with SQL queries/oracle database.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience setting up QA Environment including web/application/database servers.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in deploying builds in QA Environment.
\xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of the SDLC and comprehensive understanding of the entire Quality Assurance process, including defect submission standards, test case and test plan documentation
\xe2\x80\xa2 Strong technical and analytical skills related to software Quality Assurance
\xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\xe2\x80\xa2 Experience as a Scrum Team member
\xe2\x80\xa2 Exposed to Test Driven Development (TDD)
