RESPONSIBILITIES


Conduct risk-based audits of all operations with a particular focus on compliance with internal procedures. Responsible for carry out nominated Internal audits according to the agreed Inspection Program. Responsible for carrying out Competence gap identification onboard vessels Educate, mentor, and assist OSM Thome personnel ashore and at sea to handle any safety management and security-related matters pertaining to their position or rank Carry out take-over tasks for new vessels into management with special focus on familiarity with SMS, PMS and routines for the new vessel Act and engage with crew onboard and other staff to drive Continuous Improvements to the SMS and to the Safety Culture Assist in keeping the QA Coach tools up to date The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of responsibilities. AUTHORITY


Provide Business Unit (BU) and MQA with an independent opinion on matters related to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality in the OSM Thome fleet. This includes auditing all company managed ships and, if appointed all offices. Assess risks, maturity of the control environment and to contribute to increased performance related to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality in OSM Thome.
The QA Coach has the authority to:


Perform independent audits including other risk based audits as deemed necessary to give Business Unit (BU) and MQA an independent opinion Give relevant advice in order for the auditee to be in compliance with Management System, company policies and relevant regulations. * Authority as per Company authority matrix.)
