Role Overview:

We are seeking a

Test Automation Lead

with deep expertise in

Playwright

to drive quality engineering in a

Shift-Left development environment

. The ideal candidate will lead automation strategy, design robust test frameworks, and ensure early and continuous testing across the SDLC. This role demands hands-on leadership, technical excellence, and the ability to work independently without dedicated QA support.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable test automation frameworks using

Playwright

(JavaScript/TypeScript or C#). Champion

Shift-Left testing

by integrating automated tests early in the development lifecycle. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines. Define and implement test strategies for functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Mentor junior automation engineers and promote best practices in test automation and code quality. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive continuous improvement in test coverage and reliability.

Required Skills:

Proven experience with

Playwright

for web automation (TypeScript/JavaScript or C#). Strong understanding of

Shift-Left testing

, TDD/BDD, and Agile methodologies. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Solid knowledge of REST APIs, browser automation, and cross-browser testing. Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus. Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6). * ISTQB or equivalent certification is a bonus.
