Role Summary
Your role as a QA Automation Engineer is to write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests. Using different automation tools, you will design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading the SQA effort on major products / releases
• Responsible for creating test schedules, detailing test cases, test plans, and consolidating, and reporting test results
• Responsible for using latest Microsoft technologies to design and maintain automation for existing and new products
• Set up test environments for automation activities
• Track test coverage and key metrics
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA processes and ensure repeatability
• Be a technology champion/mentor and work with others to effectively use new technology to build effective automation
• Interact with other departments to gather/understand business requirements.
• Ensures strong commitment to on-time, quality delivery of all projects and deliverables
• Must be assertive and willing to escalate issues when a project/task is negatively impacted

Qualification

• B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or other engineering degree
• 3+ years experience working in SQA Test Engineer role on software development projects
• 3+ years experience in programming with C/C++/C# or Java
• Test Automation experience with GUI (HTTP/XML, JAVA, web services) and non-GUI applications (API, databases)
• Experience with RDBMS and SQL , SQL Server Preferred
• 3+ yrs of test automation experience using at least 1 commercial or open source test tool (Preferred Selenium, Ready API)
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, AZDO, JIRA, Confluence
• Experience working with distributed teams is a plus
• Experience with iterative development and agile methodologies
• Experience working with distributed teams
