We are seeking an Automation and Tools Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated solutions that enhance our software and hardware development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in scripting, a passion for optimizing processes, and the technical skills to support our engineering teams. You will play a key role in improving our productivity, code quality, and time-to-market.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated scripts and tools to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to understand their workflows and identify opportunities for automation.
Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and release cycles.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Python, Perl, or similar scripting languages.
Perform root cause analysis of automation failures and implement fixes.
Administer and support development tools and environments on Linux-based systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation for automated processes and tools.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven working knowledge of the Linux operating system and command-line environment.
Strong programming and scripting skills in
Python
(highly preferred), Perl, or C++.
Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Advantageous Qualifications (Big Pluses!):
Basic knowledge of software development tools such as
Jira
(project tracking),
Jenkins
(CI/CD), and others.
Basic understanding of electronics and Integrated Circuit (IC) design concepts.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles and best practices.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
