Your Role
As a Sr. or QA Automation Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring high-quality outcomes throughout the software development lifecycle by designing, developing, and executing automated and manual tests. This role offers opportunities to contribute to complex QA initiatives, mentor others, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesSetup, configure, and maintain automation environments and frameworks
Design, develop, and maintain modular, extensible, and reusable test automation harnesses and scripts
Develop efficient and accurate automated performance test scripts
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, and testing implications
Identify, report, and track product defects and recommend enhancements
Write, revise, and verify test plans and procedures for defect identification and feature evaluation
Perform functional, regression, and integrated testing on new or modified software programs
Build and maintain a comprehensive test automation library to ensure requirements and regression coverage
Communicate testing estimates and status, and proactively remove project roadblocks
Analyze test results and defects to assess application/system quality
Track and report QA metrics and conduct internal audits to ensure process adherence
Mentor junior team members and lead QA initiatives with minimal supervision
Manage QA projects and ensure seamless delivery across teams
Participate in rotational on-call support as needed

What You BringBachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
For entry-level: Minimum 1 year of experience in automated script development and manual testing
For senior-level: Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in software testing and 2+ years of creating automation scripts from scratch
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and software quality assurance standards
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret business requirements and translate them into test specifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
Preferred SkillsExperience with structured delivery processes and Agile development methodologies
Hands-on experience with web-based, PC-based, and mobile applications built with Java, .NET, Web technologies, and Linux
Familiarity with databases used for data storage and retrieval
Proficiency in Selenium or equivalent test automation tools
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) and tools like Node.js
Knowledge of web object identification techniques (e.g., XPath)
Understanding of where and how test automation applies, including maintenance needs
