QA Architect

Role Overview:

We are seeking an Architect Quality Assurance to join our software testing team and drive excellence in quality engineering. This role involves leading a QA team, architecting automation frameworks, and ensuring robust functional, mobile, desktop, API, performance, and accessibility testing across our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Python, and modern automation tools, with proven experience in performance engineering, CI/CD integration, and Agile delivery. Knowledge of eCommerce domain is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Define and implement QA strategy, test coverage, and quality metrics aligned with business objectives. Lead and mentor QA engineers; manage task allocation, progress tracking, and risk mitigation. Architect and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Java, Python, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, and TestNG. Drive UI, API, and mobile automation using Selenium, Playwright, and Appium. Implement API testing strategies using tools like REST Assured, Postman/Newman, and ensure robust validation for microservices and integrations. Integrate frameworks with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps (ADO). Ensure traceability by integrating automation with JIRA, Azure DevOps, and other management tools. Lead performance testing using JMeter, Lighthouse, and similar tools; analyze results and recommend optimizations. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Ensure compliance with Agile methodology, accessibility standards, and security best practices. Conduct accessibility testing using tools like axe-core, Level Access, or similar to ensure WCAG compliance.

Required Skillsets:

Technical Expertise


Strong programming skills in Java and Python. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG, API Automation, Selenium Grid, Maven, Git, and Katalon Tool. Proven experience in automation framework development. Expertise in API testing (REST Assured, Postman/Newman) and performance testing using JMeter and Lighthouse. Integration experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines. Accessibility Testing using tools like axe-core, Level Access, or similar for WCAG compliance. Knowledge of eCommerce domain and Salesforce testing.
Methodologies & Leadership


Strong knowledge of Agile practices and testing methodologies. Experience leading QA teams, delegating tasks, and mentoring team members. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have:

Agentic AI & Intelligent Testing: Design and incorporate AI workflows for scenario generation, adaptive test selection, and autonomous execution. Implement LLM/RAG-assisted test authoring and automate conversion of user stories into Gherkin scenarios. Establish safe, compliant AI usage patterns and feedback loops for continuous improvement. Experience in desktop application automation and advanced accessibility testing.
