About the Role

SoftProdigy is seeking a versatile Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and data pipelines. You will work on a mix of projects including internal tools, data-driven solutions, and AI/ML integrations.
This role is ideal for developers with strong Python skills, experience in cloud-native architectures, and an interest in emerging AI/ML technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions for international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain robust Python backend applications using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django. Design and implement APIs, microservices, and serverless functions to integrate with external systems and data sources. Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using libraries such as Pandas, Polars, NumPy. Configure and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) using best practices and infrastructure as code (IaC). Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes). Monitor and optimize application performance, security, and scalability. Collaborate with product, frontend, and ML teams to deliver seamless solutions. Prepare documentation, including architecture diagrams, API specs, and deployment guides.

Required Skills

3-6 years of experience in Python backend development. Strong expertise in Python, OOP, and software engineering principles. Experience with API design, RESTful services, and backend integration. Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Good to Have (AI/ML Exposure)

Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face). Exposure to NLP, speech recognition, or LLM integration. Audio/video processing experience (e.g., torchaudio, librosa, ExoPlayer). Familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS, microservices, or serverless architectures. Knowledge of Python async frameworks (asyncio, FastAPI async endpoints).
