We are seeking an experienced

Python Developer

to design and develop

Windows-based desktop applications

involving data processing, visualization, and database interaction. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, solid knowledge of

PostgreSQL

, and a good understanding of

thermodynamics or applied physics

. Experience with engineering, calculation, or simulation tools, and

OPC DA communication

, will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain

Windows-based applications

using

Python

and

PyQt6

for GUI development. Integrate and manage data using

PostgreSQL

with

psycopg2

. Build and validate data models using

Pydantic

for accuracy and reliability. Implement data visualization and plotting features using

PyQtGraph

. Handle data import/export and Excel file processing with

openpyxl

and

xlrd

. Manage data encoding and compatibility using

chardet

. Ensure secure data handling and encryption using the

cryptography

package. Develop and maintain communication between

OPC DA server and client

systems. Optimize and test applications for

both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows architectures

. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for design, testing, and deployment.

Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.

4+ years of experience

in

Python development

for Windows environments. Hands-on experience with the following Python packages:

PyQt6

,

psycopg2

,

Pydantic

,

PyQtGraph

,

chardet

,

xlrd

,

openpyxl

,

cryptography

. Strong knowledge of

PostgreSQL

database design, queries, and optimization. Good understanding of

thermodynamic

or

physics-based modeling concepts

. Experience with

calculation or simulation applications

is a plus. Familiarity with

OPC DA server/client communication

is desirable. Understanding of

Windows 32-bit and 64-bit architectures

and build processes. * Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
