Senior Python Developer (Django & FastAPI)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

Python Developer (Freelancer)

with strong expertise in

Django

and

FastAPI

to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and APIs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend development, API integrations, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using

Python, Django, and FastAPI

Build

RESTful APIs

and ensure high performance and responsiveness Integrate third-party APIs and services Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code Debug, test, and maintain existing applications Participate in code reviews and follow best coding practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in

Python

Hands-on experience with

Django

(mandatory) Strong experience with

FastAPI

(mandatory) Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code Experience in building

REST APIs

Knowledge of

ORMs

(Django ORM, SQLAlchemy) Experience with

PostgreSQL / MySQL

Integrate third-party APIs and services

Understanding of

authentication & authorization

(JWT, OAuth) Familiarity with

Git

and version control Experience working in

Agile/Scrum

environments

Good to Have:

Experience with

Docker & CI/CD pipelines

Knowledge of

AWS / GCP / Azure

Familiarity with

Celery, Redis

Basic understanding of frontend frameworks (React/Angular) Experience with microservices architecture
