1. Job Summary

The Pytha Design Engineer is responsible for creating detailed 3D models, production drawings, and material lists using

Pytha software

for wood and furniture projects. The role ensures accurate technical designs, seamless production coordination, and efficient project execution.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Design & Drafting

Create

3D models

, assemblies, and detailed components using

Pytha 3D

. Prepare

shop drawings

,

cutting lists

, and

material take-offs

. Develop

2D production drawings

for manufacturing and installation teams. Ensure designs follow company standards, customer requirements, and industry best practices.

B. Project Coordination

Interact with project managers, production team, and installation team to clarify design requirements. Conduct design reviews to identify errors, missing details, or clashes. Modify and update drawings based on client feedback or site conditions.

C. CNC & Production Integration

Export Pytha files for CNC processing (if applicable). Coordinate with CNC programmers for toolpath generation and machine compatibility. Ensure accuracy between digital drawings and physical production output.

D. Quality & Compliance

Ensure designs meet structural stability, safety norms, and manufacturing feasibility. Follow material standards: plywood, MDF, veneer, laminates, hardware lists, etc. Perform quality checks on drawings before release to production.

E. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain drawing records, version control, BOM, and revision logs. Prepare technical documentation for production and installation teams. Maintain libraries of components and standard designs in Pytha.

3. Required SkillsTechnical Skills

Strong command of

Pytha 3D

design software. Knowledge of

modular furniture

, wood joinery, hardware, and interior elements. Understanding of

production processes

: carpentry, CNC machining, edge-banding, finishing. Ability to read and create detailed working drawings. Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or SolidWorks is an advantage.

Soft Skills

Good communication and coordination skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver within timelines. Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.

4. Qualifications

Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field. Certification or work experience in

Pytha 3D software

is mandatory. Experience in

wood / furniture manufacturing industry

preferred.
