About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic

PYP Social Science Teacher

to join our IB curriculum-based school. The ideal candidate should understand inquiry-based learning and be able to teach Social Studies concepts in an engaging and meaningful way to primary students.

Key Responsibilities

Teach

Social Science

topics (history, geography, civics, culture, environment) aligned with the

IB PYP curriculum

. Develop inquiry-based learning engagements that encourage exploration, critical thinking, and curiosity. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and projects as per PYP requirements. Integrate Social Science concepts into

transdisciplinary units

. Maintain documentation, portfolios, and student progress records as per IB standards. Promote global awareness, cultural understanding, and responsible citizenship among students. Collaborate with teachers in planning and implementing Units of Inquiry. Participate in PYP training sessions, meetings, and school events. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and achievements.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of

primary-level Social Science concepts

. Familiarity with

IB PYP philosophy

, inquiry-based learning, and transdisciplinary approaches (preferred). Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to make social concepts engaging through storytelling, activities, and real-life connections. Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach. Basic proficiency in digital teaching tools.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with

B.Ed

(mandatory).

2-5 years

of teaching experience, preferably in an IB PYP environment. Only
