About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced

PYP Science Teacher

to join our IB curriculum-based school. The ideal candidate should be able to teach science concepts through inquiry-based learning while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration among young learners.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver

Science lessons

aligned with the

IB PYP curriculum

. Design inquiry-based learning engagements that encourage exploration and problem-solving. Prepare lesson plans, assessments, projects, and experiments suitable for primary-level students. Integrate scientific concepts into

transdisciplinary themes

. Maintain student portfolios, documentation, and detailed assessment records as per IB standards. Create a safe, interactive, and supportive learning environment. Collaborate with the PYP team for planning units of inquiry. Participate in PYP workshops, professional development sessions, and school activities. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, strengths, and areas for growth.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

primary-level Science concepts

. Understanding of

IB PYP philosophy

and inquiry-driven teaching methods (preferred). Ability to simplify scientific ideas and make learning engaging and hands-on. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners. Basic proficiency with digital tools and technology-based teaching.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduation with

B.Ed

(mandatory).

2-5 years

of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an IB PYP environment. Only
