We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Hindi Teacher to teach across the
IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
and
Middle Years Programme (MYP)
. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the IB curriculum and a commitment to fostering language development, cultural awareness, and inquiry-based learning. The teacher will inspire students to achieve proficiency in Hindi while developing an appreciation for literature, culture, and communication skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Hindi lessons aligned with the IB PYP and MYP frameworks.
Foster proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Integrate Hindi language learning with
transdisciplinary themes (PYP)
and
interdisciplinary units (MYP)
.
Use inquiry-based approaches to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures student confidence and participation.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those new to the language.
Planning & Collaboration
Develop unit plans, lesson plans, and assessments according to IB guidelines.
Collaborate with PYP and MYP teachers to ensure connections across subject areas.
Participate in curriculum planning meetings and contribute to the development of the school's language program.
Ensure lesson documentation and assessment records are maintained on school platforms (e.g., ManageBac).
Assessment & Reporting
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and guide them in self-reflection.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and share progress reports with parents.
Communicate regularly with parents and counselors to support student growth.
Professional Development & Contribution
Participate actively in school events, assemblies, parent-teacher conferences, and open houses.
Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay updated with IB practices and pedagogy.
Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in clubs, language activities, or cultural programs.
Model professionalism, collaboration, and the IB Learner Profile attributes in daily practice.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hindi, Education, or a related field.
Teaching certification (B.Ed. preferred).
Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in IB PYP/MYP or international curriculum.
Strong knowledge of Hindi literature, grammar, and language pedagogy.
Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and IB philosophy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with digital learning tools (ManageBac, MS Teams, etc.).
