The PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) Manager will be responsible for overseeing the PVD coating operations, ensuring high-quality surface finishes on products, managing the coating line, optimizing production efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires strong technical knowledge of PVD processes and hands-on experience in managing coating operations within the bath fittings or metal finishing industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all PVD coating operations.
Manage and maintain PVD coating equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Develop and implement coating process parameters for different product finishes.
Monitor coating quality through inspection and testing, ensuring adherence to company standards.
Lead a team of operators and technicians, providing training and technical support.
Coordinate with R&D and production teams for new product developments.
Maintain inventory of coating materials and consumables.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules for PVD machines.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Continuously improve coating efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related field.
Minimum
5-8 years
of experience in PVD coating operations, preferably in sanitaryware or hardware manufacturing.
Strong understanding of vacuum coating technology and equipment.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Knowledge of color matching, surface finishing, and coating durability testing.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
