Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for chemicals and raw materials. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with vendors to optimize cost efficiency. Ensure timely procurement of chemicals, lab supplies, and consumables as per production requirements. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future chemical requirements to prevent shortages or overstocking. Maintain purchase records, invoices, and contracts for audit and compliance purposes. Coordinate with the production and R&D teams to understand chemical specifications and ensure quality standards. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations during procurement, storage, and handling. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to build a sustainable supply chain. Track market trends, new chemical products, and pricing to support cost optimization. Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, or documentation.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field

. Proven experience (2-5 years) in

chemical procurement or purchase department

, preferably in manufacturing, pharma, or chemical industry. Strong knowledge of chemical products, safety data sheets (MSDS), and compliance requirements. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficiency in

MS Office, ERP systems, or procurement software

. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement tasks simultaneously. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
