The Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials. The role ensures timely availability of quality products at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting showroom operational needs.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Procurement & Sourcing
Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for building materials.
Raise purchase orders (POs) based on stock requirements.
Review product samples, technical specifications, and product quality before ordering.
Maintain price master for all product categories.
B. Vendor Management
Build & maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
Regularly negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, timeliness, and service.
Resolve supplier issues related to delivery, quality, or documentation.
C. Inventory & Logistics Coordination
Coordinate with warehouse and showroom teams on stock requirements.
Monitor stock levels and ensure safe inventory levels are maintained.
Track shipments, follow up on pending orders, and ensure timely deliveries.
Work with logistics providers for transportation, unloading, and material handling.
D. Cost Control & Compliance
Ensure cost optimization through alternate sourcing & bulk purchase planning.
Compare quotations, prepare cost sheets, and finalize competitive rates.
Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and documentation.
Manage GRN (Goods Received Note), invoices, and vendor billing queries.
E. Market & Product Knowledge
Stay updated with market trends, new product launches, and competitor pricing.
Conduct regular vendor & market visits for product understanding.
