Purchaser - Food

Key Responsibilities:

Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers for food items. Analyze market trends to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality sourcing. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse and sales teams to forecast needs. Issue and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Inspect and verify the quality and freshness of food products. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards. Maintain accurate purchasing records and update the procurement database. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, service, and reliability. Work closely with category managers to introduce new food products based on market demand.
