The Purchase Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the hotel's procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. This role ensures all hotel departments receive quality products at the best possible price while maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with hotel policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Procurement & Purchasing
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
Obtain and compare price quotations for all requested items.
Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with storekeepers to replenish stock.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with vendors.
2. Supplier & Vendor Management
Maintain a database of approved suppliers.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers.
Regularly assess supplier performance (quality, delivery timeline, pricing).
Resolve any issues related to inaccurate deliveries, damaged goods, or order discrepancies.
3. Coordination with Hotel Departments
Work closely with kitchen, housekeeping, engineering, front office, and other departments to understand and fulfill purchasing needs.
Ensure all purchase requests (PRs) are approved and documented correctly.
Communicate expected delivery timelines and delays to relevant departments.
4. Cost Control & Compliance
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
