Creations Infra India Pvt Ltd is seeking a skilled Purchase Specialist MEP to manage end-to-end procurement of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing materials for construction and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sourcing MEP items, vendor negotiation, and coordinating with project and site teams to ensure timely material availability. Key Responsibilities
Handle procurement of MEP materials including HVAC systems, electrical panels, cables, lighting, switchgear, plumbing pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, and fire-fighting systems.
Source, evaluate, and onboard vendors for MEP supplies while ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
Prepare RFQs, comparative statements, purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Coordinate closely with project managers, site engineers, and MEP consultants to understand project requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of materials as per project timelines.
Monitor inventory levels and plan procurement to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Verify material specifications, delivery challans, invoices, and ensure compliance with approved BOQs.
Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project budgets. Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
4 to 6 years of proven experience in MEP procurement within construction or interior contracting companies.
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing materials and specifications.
Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement documentation.
Strong coordination, communication, and follow-up abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
Familiarity with Chennai-based MEP suppliers and vendors.
