Identify, evaluate, and develop sheet metal suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery targets are met.
Procurement Planning:
Prepare and execute purchase plans based on production schedules and material requirements.
Negotiation:
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts with vendors for cost optimization.
Material Procurement:
Manage procurement of raw materials, fabricated parts, fasteners, and consumables related to sheet metal production.
Cost Control:
Monitor and analyze cost trends, ensuring adherence to budgetary limits.
Supplier Evaluation:
Conduct regular supplier audits for quality, delivery performance, and compliance.
Coordination:
Work closely with production, quality, and stores teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records for purchase orders, GRNs, vendor performance, and pricing history.
Continuous Improvement:
Support cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the purchase function.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
5-7 years of experience in
procurement/purchasing for sheet metal components
.
Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and vendor base.
Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
