Job Summary:





We are looking for an experienced Project Purchase professional from a construction background who will be responsible for managing all procurement and purchase activities for construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of building materials, vendor management, negotiation, and cost control to ensure timely availability of materials at optimum prices.


Key Responsibilities:



Handle end-to-end procurement of construction materials, consumables, and equipment as per project requirements. Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors and suppliers for civil, MEP, finishing, and infrastructure items. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and timely supply. Prepare and process purchase orders, rate contracts, and comparative statements. Coordinate with the project, engineering, and finance teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment. Track vendor performance and ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards. Maintain accurate documentation of all purchase records and agreements. Assist in budgeting and cost control for project procurement. Stay updated with market trends, new materials, and technologies in the construction sector.

Job Expectations:




Desired Candidate Profile:



Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendor management, and contract negotiation. Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software. Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines efficiently.

Minimum Qualification:




Graduate / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Supply Chain Management (preferred).

5-10 years of relevant experience in construction project procurement/purchase

Frequent Travelling required to sites.
