Job description Job Title: Purchase and Procurement OfficerIndustry: Marble & Civil ContractingLocation: Juhu MumbaiExperience Required: 3-4 YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase and Procurement Officer to join our team in the marble and civil contracting sector. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 5 years of proven experience in sourcing and procuring building materials, including but not limited to tiles, granite, marble grout, sealers, adhesives, stainless steel products, aluminum components, and other construction-related products. The candidate must have a strong network of suppliers and the ability to negotiate bulk pricing, ensure on-time delivery, and continuously develop new vendor relationships to support our growing project requirements.Key Responsibilities:Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials such as tiles, adhesives, grout, sealers, clamps, aluminum parts, and other project-specific items.Obtain competitive quotations and ensure procurement is done at cost-effective prices without compromising quality.Identify, qualify, and onboard new vendors and suppliers to expand our supplier base.Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries, quality compliance, and service efficiency.Evaluate purchase orders and ensure adherence to project requirements and timelines.Collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and warehouse teams to determine material needs.Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and inventory reports.Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize material flow and reduce lead time.Stay updated with market trends and alternative material options that could offer better value or performance.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related interiors field.4 to 5 years of procurement experience in the construction, marble, or civil contracting industry.Strong knowledge of building materials and finishing products procurement.Proven ability to source at competitive prices and negotiate favorable contract terms.Experience in vendor development and supplier relationship management.Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in MS Office and procurement software/tools.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple procurement tasks across simultaneous projects.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in interiors/ fitout/ civil /marble and stone industry procurement is a strong advantage.Familiarity with local and international suppliers of construction materials.Knowledge of import documentation and customs clearance Salary: 3,00,000 - 3,25,000 CTC
